Pros: The location is spectacular if you want access to the castle. If you are good with the transit system then a bus stop is just around the corner. There is a little Android based phone that is a nice touch, but it needs some work to be a guide for the city. That said, it is a nice security touch for having a local phone and data for mapping. Android is not my thing so it was not as intuitive to me. The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful.
Cons: The carpets were dirty, the bedding was well worn and the towels were the same. Do not be confused by dirty in that you will not find garbage all around the place, it was very clean in that regard. The rooms are just very well worn and it is time to replace some of the materials. The shower has a glass wall that does not do well enough of a job to keep water from reaching the floor in quantity. It was also odd that there was no tissue paper. Some communications work could be improved on. We arrived for a two night stay and I had picked the hotel because it had a well rated restaurant attached. The first night we went for dinner there. On the second day we went out and had a long day of seeing the sights with the plan to chill there in the restaurant. When we arrived there was a notice that the restaurant was closed for a private function. We could have ordered room service, but the room is not conducive to eating and frankly did not feel clean enough. We should have been told when we checked in and then we could have gotten something before coming back to the hotel.

Pros: The staff was very helpful in providing information about ATM's, restaurants, etc. Our room was clean and made up very well each day. A tram line runs in front of the hotel and a metro is about a 5 minute walk (or take the tram) from the hotel. A bank, grocery store, and numerous restaurants are within 5 minutes or less. The hotel is located right on the Danube and nearly across from the Parliament building. It is also very easy to get to Castle Hill and via tram or metro to most things in and around the city. There is free internet and pots with tea and coffee in the room.
Cons: No real complaints, but the bed was a little too hard for my wife but fine for me. I know folks want you to buy there stuff in the in-room refrigerator, but it would be nice if it had a little room to store a sandwich or a bottle of your own pop.

Cons: Staff was competent but not friendly At breakfast, the host communicated mainly by gestures and resented any questions. Free WIFI was glacially slow and not really usable.

Pros: 1. The view: I had the room with Danube River facing Parliament; 2. There is a back door that you can access (exit and enter) using your room key card. This leads you directly to the steps towards the Castle area. Near to the main Metro (Batthyany square), bus and tram lines. 3. The staff at the coffee house/ restaurant (lobby floor) are really friendly and make you feel at home. 4. Wi-Fi speed is good. There are plenty of socket Outlet points for laptop, tablet, phone, iPad, power banks .... And hair dryer! The design of the hotel is well thought-out. Well done!
Cons: 1. Buffet Breakfast spread: would have expected more for a 4/5 star hotel. 2. The main road from (Batthyány Square) although is lighted up. But there are 'funny characters' and drunks lurking and appearing at darker corners and adjoining smaller streets at night. 3. The underground metro is also full of 'drunks' and homeless screaming and begging for money.

Pros: You cannot beat the location. This Hilton puts you right in the middle of so much to see and do in Budapest. It’s above the rest, literally! The view from above the city is amazing! I highly highly recommend it.

Pros: Baltazar is perfection. Amazingly friendly staff, most of whom speak English (if you don't know any Hungarian like me), and the room was just gorgeous. Clean, well stocked, BEAUTIFUL rainforest shower, and the most comfortable bed. The decor is quirky/cool in a really beautiful, almost classic way. I'm obsessed with this place. Also, the restaurant is glorious, and you can't beat the Castle District for gorgeous walking experiences. DEFINITELY stay here. You won't regret it.

Pros: The location is excellent, in the heart of the historic district. The food was amazing. The staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke fluent English. The rooms were beautifully designed, clean and cozy. We especially liked the shower and the lights system. We arrived in the middle of a heat wave (38 degrees Celsius, about 102 Fahrenheit). The air conditioner worked without problems.

Cons: The first staff member who greeted us insisted we needed a printed voucher to check in even though I had the confirmation email on my phone.....he was somewhat rude. We sought help from another reservationist who was very helpful and got us checked in right away. From then on all staff was extremely courteous.

Pros: The staff was awesome at helping to answer our many tourist questions and point us in the direction of the best stuff to visit. On the 24th everything in the city closes very early which we didn't realize, but one of the front desk staff went out of his way to figure out what restaurants near by we're still opened. They also placed us in a room that was very easy to let our dog out to go to the bathroom. Breakfast is very good! Location is perfect as well! Defiantly would stay here again!
Cons: The only tiny thing we thought was off was the hotel bar. Not very busy and the prices were a bit expensive compared to the bars right near the hotel. We used it on Christmas eve though and had a blast, everything is what you make it!!

Pros: Service,parking and location. The post office near by, train station near by, super market near by, good restaurants are all over near by, not too far from all the attraction.
Cons: Rooms are small. At least one water bottle should be supply once a day stay. If the hotel rating 4 star hotel then it should be.

Pros: The building from outside and lobby looked very nice, but the room was totally opposite.
Cons: I have stayed in a different Mercure hotel in the past and I was very happy. This hotel however was a total disappointment. The room look like it has not been upgrade in 10-15 years. The carped in the room was extremely dirty, old and faded.
