Pros: Staff was friendly the location is very near to the train station acros the street. Easy to get to places with hotel passes. This was very helpful to get around town by train or bus free.
Cons: Location is near the train station and very noisy at night. There is no air conditioning in the hotel so the windows are open all the time. Only fans are used in the rooms so the window has to be kept open for air to circulate . It is terrible at night when you trying to sleep and can't due to the amount of noise. The hotel is grossly high. The elevator takes only tow average size persons, maybe one big and on small bodies. Two heavy set people cannot use the elevator. It is that small. Basic breakfast. The lounge area is like a small kitchen nook with very old colorful chairs with visible stains. With all the money they charge, they can do better.

Pros: Hotel is convenient to the waterfront and rail station.
Cons: Hotel is in dire need of a renovation. The elevators are ancient, slow and can only manage 2 persons with baggage. Probably can't fix this...but room lock technology was not working well. For me and someone else at that same time. Rooms are clean but spartan...lacking any design creativity. Bathtub/shower is too narrow, deep and combination with a smooth floor makes for an awkward (and hazardous) in/out. For the rate I was charged, I expected much better.

Pros: There are very few affordable places in Basel. We chose this hotel because of the price. We were travelling with another couple and were given rooms with an adjoining balcony and an interesting vista. The hotel is very old and in need of refurbishment but was large (for Europe) and had a bar fridge and a decent breakfast. The staff was extremely helpful.
Cons: Our room was on the 4th floor but the elevator stops at the 3rd, so we had to drag our large luggage up the last stairwell. Thankfully, the weather turned cool the day we checked in. Our room was blistering hot, but cooled off to a reasonable temperature with the balcony doors open and the rain falling. Had the weather remained hot, we could ABSOLUTELY NOT have stayed in that room. If you don't like hot rooms, don't stay here in the summer.

Pros: It was a great location for travel. Train station is right across the street yet the rooms are very quiet being on a main road Bus stops are right there and you can walk around very easily if you know the city. Price was not bad considering that you are in Geneva. Staff was always very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit disappointing. The rooms are a little tight, but that is to be expected in Europe.

Pros: I very much like the central location close to the train station and other public transport; walking distance to many restaurants, shops, the Lake etc. I also greatly enjoyed the modern design of the hotel common areas and the room. I lliked the color scheme and the room was extremely functional. Breakfast buffet had good choices. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Pros: I arrived mid-evening on a non-planned stop in Geneva. The receptionist spoke English well and was helpful showing me where to park. The location is adjacent to the train station but was quiet at night. Altogether a pleasant stay.
Cons: The price seemed a bit high, but perhaps I am not familiar with Geneva hotel prices.

Pros: Staff was very friendly even at the time of reservation they were able to accommodate a few changes. The hotel is a few meters away from the train station, you do not even have to cross the street which is excellent when carrying luggage. The lobby is very spacious, very bright dinning room.
Cons: The rooms were clean but they could use a little upgrade.
