Cons: Hotel was closed down, apparently for weeks, upon arrival, due to an electrical issue. Was not notified prior to arrival...decided to cancel rather than agreeing to stay at their replacement Marriott which was further from downtown and not rated as well.

Pros: My room was very comfortable and staff made me feel welcome at the same they served the Americana Music Association's Americanafest - which I was attending. I also appreciated all the ways to charge my technology in the room. Thank you for your green initiative.

Pros: Great view on 18th floor. Beds were exceptional. Furniture was comfortable, not just good looking. Did'nt turn it on, but large TV. Very easy key card swipe system. Friendly concierge and wait staff. Fast, plentiful elevators.
Cons: Traffic noise waking me up. I was on the 18th floor! Construction noise. Not Westin's fault but not pleasant. No parking, which is cheap, but the biggest issue is that I could not get safely to the valet drop off area because of the construction. That, they could have dealt with. Outside bellhop valet seems beaten down by the construction chaos. Had two dazed, almost rude encounters. Had a bellhop push a cart between me and my wife while we were walking in to check in.

Pros: The location is great for proximity to downtown and Vanderbilt. The bar and lobby areas are nice. Bartenders were friendly and had good wine suggestions. There was a wedding on Saturday that took over the entire lobby for much of the day and night, so that cut down on our enjoyment. Friday night we enjoyed having a glass of wine in the lobby while listening to live music and waiting to meet friends for dinner.
Cons: The shower stall was old and had mold and mildew stains in the grout. We were awakened several times during the night by people passing through in the hall. They weren't being excessively noisy; it seems to be a design flaw. I much prefer the Hutton. Even the Loews is better.

Cons: Lots of fruit flies in the room. room smelled bad. Toilet was very small. The beds were squeaky.

Cons: Parking was fine when we arrived at 3:00pm, but when we arrived back at 11:30pm from our outing we had no place to park, got to end of parking garage and couldn't even turn around, so we had to back out. Very disappointed in this. There should be enough parking for guests

Cons: There was construction going on that started at 6am on a Saturday. We were never offered earplugs. Never really told about it. I would have stayed in a different hotel if I had known this especially for how much I had to pay and the fact that the "relaxing" part of my vacation was ruined. One day when we came back from our hotel all our trash had been taken out of the trash cans and left on the tables next to our stuff. Staff was also very loud in the hallways talking back and forth across rooms while cleaning during the morning hours.

Pros: The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Just a couple blocks from downtown, so you don't really have to drive anywhere.
Cons: The decor was a little dated, but that didn't affect the comfort or the overall stay. That was really my only beef.
