We had to wait 20 minutes for collection but we were a little early and they didn’t open until 7am. Overall collection was straight forward, nice new cars with very little damage. Handing the car back was a simple and straight forward process. Will use again in future.

Pick-up is in a hotel. Shuttle bus takes you two floors down. Then you have to take an elevator up (with all luggage). Long wait (45 minutes). Elevator down to collect the car. Everything together roughly 90 minutes.

Overall very good. One piece of feedback, I ordered the car for a specific time and it wasn’t ready at that time, we had to wait while it was being washed. Not really a problem but it was a waste of about 20 mins for us.

Inattentive staff, damaged vehicle, but the most egregious issue is the hidden fees and charges, tripling the cost at a time when you have no choice to pay
They scam using false methods to enforce insurance customers already have with personal insurance and credit card coverage. Further claim scratch on car wheel that’s small was claim as damage to vehicle which they claim payment for. Terrible experience will NEVER recommend them to anyone.

I had phoned Europcar the day before my trip to advise that I would be picking the car up 8 hours later than expected. When I arrived at the office at LHR they said they had no notice of this on their computers and that they only hold the car for 6 hours, so had given the car to someone else. They said they could resurrect my booking by paying more to add my wife as an extra driver, which seemed bizarre, but I did so. Then the car they thought they could give me wasn’t there, so then they found me another car… the whole process took way too long, almost an hour, when I was exhausted after a transatlantic flight. I stayed calm and carried on.

Great staff on arrival - friendly and warm - vehicle as advertised. A few bits and pieces broken - the wireless charger was ripped out. Reason for the ordinary rating was the badly damaged tyre that was on the car at pick up. We didn’t notice at first, but within a few hours something didn’t feel ideal. On inspection, the tire already had yellow markings all over it (the entire wheel, clearly deliberately done). Shouldn’t have been rented in the first place, took three days to get it changed due to Christmas, although the staff at Heathrow were very helpful trying to assist. All up would’ve been great if the vehicle wasn’t a danger to start with!

The shuttle van from the airport was fast and convenient. The representatives at the desk were friendly and efficient. There was no line like I have seen at other airports. The return process was fine (except the first representative failed to print us a receipt and we got no email either so had to go back). The car itself, however, left a lot to be desired. It was much smaller than the “typical” model they advertised and though it said “or similar” we didn’t feel it WAS similar. The interior had clearly not been cleaned and was missing a floor mat entirely on the drivers side. It had not been washed, at least not recently. As such, the wipers were so dirty that on the drive home, in a downpour, they honestly were a hazard — we could see next to nothing of the road due to the smears. When we tried to call the desk to let them know of these issues, no one answered… for three days. And when we emailed and requested a response, we got none then either. So communication was a huge problem too. In the end, we cleaned it ourselves and luckily the wipers didn’t need replacing, just a good scrub. But we were extremely frustrated.

The hidden fees and what I was charged vice what I paid was outrageous. I was quoted less than half of what I ended up paying. I was deeply disappointed in this type of activity. I would much rather have upfront and honest prices and not feel like I was ripped of and taken advantage of.

Price online looks good. Aggressive push to buy more insurance. Even though I'd provided all my details ahead of time still took an hour to get the car. Prolonged series of forms and checks - multiple times my phone and credit card were taken out of my hands. Further more the car they gave me was very bashed up with a constant warning light about front parking sensor error.

This is the worst company and would never recommend anyone to book from them. Firstly they forced me to buy collision insurance and didn't accept the coverage provided by my credit card. At the time of booking there was no such requirement and if it was mandatory it should have been told at the time of booking, considering that they are scamming people. Secondly, they don't record all the damages to car and ask renter to record video, I tried to show them few scratches and the guy said record video, later while returning one of the scratch was not clear in video and the guy seems excited to blame me for that scratch luckily I found another video on my phone in which those scratches were evident. Never rent from them and go for known brands. I have already raised complaint to priceline for refund of addition $200 that I had to pay at pick up but they are also not helpful though it is a mistake by both of them.

Negative: On arrival at Heathrow T4, despite what was on my booking from the broker (and what I have since confirmed is posted on the Surprice website), Surprice Heathrow pick-up only covered T2/T3/T5. This meant having to get a train with multiple bags which was very challenging for one person. My AMEX credit card was also not accepted (despite having already been used through the broker booking for part payment of the fee) Additionally, I was informed at the counter that I would need to pay extra to be dropped off at the airport on my departure Lastly, the car was dirty and had clearly not been cleaned. The agent offered to clean the car but I was now running late due to the unexpected trip from T4, etc so had to waive this offer Positive: On returning the car a few days later, I provided my poor experience to a gentleman called Sadan, who was handling the car check-in. He was very attentive and extremely customer focused. He apologised for the issues I had encountered and provided a complimentary drop off to the airport.

Economy
The rental counter experience was fine. The Citroen C3 will go on my list (with the Renault Clio) of cars to avoid. The rubbery, notchy transmission took all the fun out of driving.

The lady at the office Heathrow when collecting the key was so positive and friendly and this despite seemingly having a cold, she exhumed great customer service and efficiency much needed so early in the morning. It made using them for the first time ever a great experience I will be back.

Upon arrival I was informed that as we arrived one hour after our scheduled pickup they no longer had a vehicle for us and wanted to charge us a high fee for a much larger vehicle. It took over 30 minutes before they decided to give us a small car as we had ordered and during this time four other people coming into the office received the same treatment. In the end I was charged 120GBP additional fees for a similar vehicle. I will never recommend Kayak or Drivalia and I will use Enterprise directly as I have done for years and.

Fraud company, gave me a vehicle that broke down after 20 miles of pickupand never refunded the money that they charged . And never responds in case of emergency and even after recovering the vehicle . AVOID this company.

Over an hour wait for shuttle from the airport and 5 calls. Had to switch 3 cars on pickup first received the wrong car transmission and then a car with engine noise.

There were no instructions for pickup, just an address that goes to the wrong location. There should be shuttle pickup mentioned, because there was one, but we didn't know about it and ended up walking 3 miles with luggage to get to the correct location.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had in renting a car. Arrived in the cold morning, front desk said we had to walk across the parking lot in the freezing cold with a baby to speak to someone. That person told us to wait outside in the cold with a baby until a manager arrived. After 30 min we were told that no manager was coming and that they had no car for us. They offered no solution and had no compassion. They said that they knew they didn’t have a car the day before and didn’t call of notify us in any way. Absolutely despicable.

Kayak should remove this AddCar branch. It's not an airport rental. The rentals are in an off airport building 30 minutes away by taxi from London Heathrow airport. There is no "shuttle" to go to the building from the airport. The "car-rental-square" company has many logos including addCar. It's a scam.
