Good entertainment. Good service Good food Pleasant staff
There were no tv screens on the seat backs so there was no entertainment. Air New Zealand had screens and good options for entertainment.
Plane was very clean... seemed new. Staff very nice.
We DID NOT get to fly from AKL to HNL nonstop on Air New Zealand. The misconnection caused us to fly 3 different airlines to get home more than 24 hours later than the original schedule. That said, Air New Zealand stood by us and rebooked us until we got home. Great airline! Hopefully the two consecutive flight delays were a fluke. Delays and misconnections are costly to the airlines and taxing to the affected passengers.
Air New Zealand was great to us in almost every aspect except for the almost 4 hours delay from SYD to AKL, causing the misconnection to the infrequent nonstop flight AKL HNL. At Air New Zealand expenses, we stayed overnight in AKL then flew to LAX. Once again the service on board was very congenial, the sleeper seat was comfortable and the food met Australian and New Zealander’ s standard. But then we arrived late, and misconnected to the last LAX HNL flight. Air New Zealand never left us stranded. We were rebooked to fly home (HNL) via LAS. Never once any one from Air New Zealand mistreated us in any way. We would fly Air New Zealand whenever the opportunity comes up.
The only complaint is food. Not many special meal options available on this leg
Everything was excellent except for the food especially for those with special meal requirements. Vegetarian meal option is often confused with Vegan option and few of the dessert offerings that were dairy based were not offered to vegetarians.
The flight was jammed full as a previous one had been cancelled, yet the staff were so friendly and helpful that everything went smoothly and it made for a very pleasant flight. I would note however that the departure boards at Melbourne airport are hopelessly inaccurate and basically useless. The flight was originally scheduled for 12:10pm but was delayed and the boards even at 12pm still said “Gate opens 11:10, ETD 12:10”. Then at 12:10 the flight disappeared completely from the boards and even at the gate itself it didn’t show that the flight existed at the gate, even as they were still waiting to board us.
We missed that flight because of New Zealand air
Because of late departure from Aukland we missed our connecting flight to Bdl in hartford and had to spend the night in Chicago for which you will be billed
The flight attendants were attentive and gracious. The food in Business class was very good. Clean aircraft. Comfortable seat.
Only one choice for breakfast. Bread was not really fresh at both dinner and breakfast.
All good
Unexpected that you would need to pre purchase a meal and pay for movies on this international flight. After having to pay extra for baggage and selecting a seat. It seems this airline is nickel and diming their way out of business
Air New Zealand excellently handled everything.
No food on the Toronto to Vancouver flight
It was delayed 20 mins and was a little bumpy. My daughter was hoping for hot chocolate.
Mostly it was fine. One senses the budget cuts but it's still good service.
Crew be more attentive to needs of passengers. I am not one to turn on my light but I will next time. I was sitting near the window so couldn’t get out to go ask for fluids. I was only offered 2 drinks the entire 12 hours. A second cup of tea would have been nice in the AM!
It was good. I disliked the 12 hour flight from Auckland to San Francisco. I was only offered 2 beverages in the entire 12 hour flight. Hardly saw the crew after first meal served.
We flew premium economy which was a delight for the cost of the tickets. The supplied seat headphones could be improved for better fidelity and noise suppression. Everything else about our flight from Auckland to LA, in our price range, was outstanding.
They canceled the flight on Nov 2 and changed it to Nov 1st but did not change connecting flight date. It took me 21/2 hours each day for 3 days to talk to Air NZ to fix my schedule. The aircraft is old and looks like the one Cathay Pacific used in the late 1990s. Their vegetarian meal is so bad that you skip the meals. In short this airline is going downhill so fast and I will not use them again.
Smooth flight
As usual, Air New Zeleand exceeded my expectations. Always my favorite airline to take.
Boarding - had a seat change that put me 20 rows further back. Due to operational changes...ridiculous.
Love the skycouch!
The vegetable stir fry needed some soy sauce or something! The staff was lovely, everything was great!
Lots of room and great service.
Problems at check-in REALLY upset me! I repeatedly checked the New Zealand.gov web site to ensure I adhered to all their requirements: had all Covid vaccinations and boosters, and completed their NZ Declaration. NO VISA WAS EVER REQUIRED for USA citizens. NZ lifted all Covid requirements on 9/13 and for the NZ Declaration on 10/22. But when I checked in for my flight, I was informed I needed a VISA! At no time was I notified of this by the NZ government, Air New Zealand, or Kayak. And I was not the only one. Had it not been for two other passengers helping me file for the Visa online, I would not have been able to board my flight. As for the flight, attendants were friendly. Organic food was pretty good. Seats were very uncomfortable, despite my paying an extra $50 for more leg room, and my back and legs have been aching for several days.
I really liked the staffs, and the foods. Our plane got delayed for two hours so that was a down side.
On board Air New Zealand flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 118cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Air New Zealand assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
