Cons:

Customer service is horrendous!! Spent 2 days on the phone and they just transfer you around departments until they say there is nothing they can do. Made incorrect invoices but no one had the authority to correct the invoices! Horrible service and company.

Economy

The car was provided to us withour checking the adblue level and I thought it was my responsibility to fill the adblue tank, I did and the car had a defect as the sensor did not capture the adblue addition and I had to return the car before the expexted time and I was stressed the whole time on my way back to ensure that it won't turn off. I presented the adblue invoice to the agency the second day and seems i was not refunded the price that was for 19.90 euros. The car was comfortable but the most important part which is the maintenance was not secured properly this is why i am not satisfied as I had to change my whole plan for the day to avoid being stuck hundred of km away from the drop off spot.

Full-size SUV

I received a voicemail in Paris the evening before we expected to pick up a car we had reserved for the next 8 days. I was informed that there was no car for us, sorry. Called back several times at the number for National at the Gare de Lyon and no one ever picked up. Obviously a terrible experience.

Even though the vehicle had been reserved months in advance, when I came to pick it up, on time, I might add, nothing was availble. All of their inventory was already out on loan. I had to wait for approximately 2 and a half hours in a stuffy subterranean Enterprise office in the Gare de Lyon, Paris without proper customer seating nor ventilation. The rental location was extremely hard to find due to a lack of signage and location instructions at the train station. Finally, when I did obtain my vehicle it was a much larger SUV then requested and it could barely make it through the narrow driveways in the subterrainian parking lot. The car arrived filthy with two of the logo letters dangling from the back tailgate. The employees were nice to me and did what they could do to help by getting the vehicle cleaned quickly and finding an office chair in the garage for me to sit in while I waited for the car to come back in “clean” condition. The drop off at Charles de Gaulle airport was simple and efficient.

Cons:

Renter beware: there is no up-front warrning about the cost of insurance, and the agents give a high-pressure sales pitch at pick-up, attempting to pressure the customer into taking a package that doubles the cost of the rental. Otherwise, everything was fine!

Pros:

The car itself was fine. It was just what we needed and the value was very good.

Cons:

The office was difficult to find. The website says its at the train station but once in the station, there are very few signs to direct you to the office. Also, the representative forgot to give us a ticket to get out of the garage so we left with the car and couldn't get out so my husband had to go back to the office and get the ticket.

They did not let me rent the car. Despite I had a credit card, my dirver licence and my pasport were valid. The image of kayak was not correct at all with the car, the kayak image was 3m interior space for the transporter, the actual was just 1.4m

We cannot take the car because Hertz said that the crédit card did not has name, in my reservation only said that we needed only the card the ones did to reserve the car, never especified, i ll tried to contact somebody to helped us in kayac or in Hertz maybe to cancel the reservation and tried to refound part of the Money or got another option yo travel. I Lost the Money, i had to cancel all My plans of travel to Caen France. i am very upset with this situation. It was very important to go to Caen and it was impossible

Our problem Was the connection with kayak and hertz. Hertz tol is kayak rented us a premium car which we had proof we requested standard and because of that it was all we could get and then we couldn’t rent it because we didn’t have a gold card. They also told us kayak had charged us already which i will check when I am home. There’s a real disconnect between hertz and kayak. The hertz person said they have many problems
