All rooms are fully renovated with all new technology (flat screen TV, private satellite TV in each room with about one thousand channels, free Wi-Fi) Light snacks and refreshments can be enjoyed in the open-air Prince Charles Café with sea views. Decorated with antiques and frescos, the Queen Elizabeth Hall offers fine dining and wine. Pros:1- View from roof restaurant terrace and seaview rooms id marvellous. 2- Friendliness of staff 3- Preserving the early 20th century style, antiques and original exhibits everywhere as the hotel was established 1907. 4- They dealt with the unpleasant odor I complained about last year resulting from the canavas and carpet Antiques. 5- Hotel location is centered on the corniche of Alexandria down town. 6- The hotel has ATM machine, welcome drink, 24/7 room service. 7- They partially succeeded to deal with the rooms sound isolation cuz the streets around are very noisy.
Cons:0- the price you just seen in booking is less 31% than what you will really pay cuz they add taxes and service on the invoice. 1- Very very poor wifi internet connection. 2- If you have "Etisalat" mobile phone line then you wont have a good signal in your room. 3- The water pressure is weak in the toilets 4- you can keep waiting for hotwater for 10 minutes to flow through the tap specially during the night. 5- The satellite TV system is unstable, freezing and annoying 6- They do not serve complimentary water with the room! 7- There is no electrical kittle or tea or nèstacafe in the room! 8- They dont have car parking, thus parking your car there is very difficult, risky and annoying task cuz you have to find a place around the hotel in the streets to park it, while Alexandria roads are too tight, unorganized, severly crowded and the drivers in the street are not friendly and not welcoming alien car plates at all! Alexandrians hate tourists!!!
