9.1 Wonderful
Pros:Very clean and comfortable, very helpful staff. Excellent proximity to Termini rail station. Free mini bar items and an extensive breakfast buffet. Mostly consistent WiFi.
Cons:Air conditioning didn’t seem to be working which was a bummer during the heat wave, but I was only there for one night and didn’t have anyone investigate the problem.

Pros:The hotel was a very short walk from the Roma Termini station. Many of the major sites were within walking distance. The rooms were very clean and the staff was courteous.

Pros:Hotel Diana Roof Garden is relatively inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area, though that comes at the expense of comfort. The breakfasts on the roof were pleasant.
Cons:Despite reserving a smoke-free room (the entire hotel is supposedly smoke-free?), we were assigned a room that smelled very strongly of smoke. We asked the gentleman working at the reception desk for a new room and he acted as if we were inconveniencing him. He did end up assigning us another room, which did not smell of smoke, but looked out onto a wall (not a big issue since we weren't planning on doing much other than sleep in the room), but it was a bit disappointing since we had requested a room with a view. The thermostat in the room was broken and the air coming out of the A/C could not be lowered below what I'm guessing was 24 or 25C. Generally, I'm not a fan of A/C, but it was particularly hot in Rome when we were there (highs of 37C). If I could do it again, I would have paid €10-20 more for another hotel.
