Great staff. Got upgraded from a sub-compact to a convertible on my wife’s 50th (without mentioning it). Note: this probably won’t happen to you. That aside, they got us in and out in no time, took COVID protocols seriously. I could not have asked for a better experience.

This location is not at the airport and will cost an extra 100.00 or so to go back and forth to airport. Air conditioner didnt work in the back . So they gave me a $60 credit. Experience was ok but would of rented at airport if known they were 20 minutes away and no transportation to and from location.

I rented a small SUV back in March for June in Honolulu HI. back in March the rental was cheap 250 for 6 days, then the car rental in HI blew up. I was so relieved that I already had my rental reserved. When I got to HI and went to pick up my car they told me that I had my rental pick up set at Wakiki not at the airport. No biggie I took an Uber to pick it up at the address they sent me to, only to find out that it’s been permanently closed since the pandemic. So I called customer support and everyone kept apologizing and saying that they could not help me but they could cancel my reservation. All of them wanted to help me by canceling my reservation. I said absolutely not to this “help” I persisted but they could do nothing for me on that day. Luckily my hotel was not far from the location the Uber had taken us. So now we were forced to walk lugging our luggage for at least a mile. The next day someone was able to help me and I had to take another Uber to pick up a car. Not the one I rented but I was glad to have something to get around in. Not a great experience getting it but ok once I got it. They still made me drop off the car at the new location they sent me to and I had to take another Uber to the airport so another 78 bucks down the drain.

Car battery died (no lights or anything was left on). Was told it would take at least an hour and a half to have emergency assistance come give a boost. Then was told I would have to bring back the rental to the same location for an exchange which was an hour and a half on the other side of the island. They should have allowed me to exchange at a closer location. Wasted about 6 hours of my day because they do not check their cars to make sure they are working properly.

Great staff, low wait times during pick up. Easy in and out in Waikiki without the airport hassle.

Pros:

Checkin and getting the car was fairly easy and quick

Cons:

There wasn’t a shuttle from the airport to this rental location. Having to use an Uber from the airport was expensive. Also the key fob had many issues. May have been the batteries in the key but they tried to teach how to use the key fob when I returned as if I didn’t understand how to drive a keyless/push to start vehicle.

Nice cars, good price and great location in the heart of tourist area of Waikiki.

Cons:

They were not prepared for the customers even though everybody had prior reservations. We waited on the location about 3 hours for a car to be available for us. Poor handling of staff, it was a great mess for dozens of customers.

Great experience. They gave us a Chevy Spark which is the perfect car to zip around Waikiki as parking spots are few and far between. It used very little fuel also which was a bonus.

Long hot wait to check out car with no for warning! It sucked. Over 1.5 hour wait for 7 people ahead of us. :(
