Make sure to have your navigation set up before you drive. There’s lots of construction in the metro area. (Still!) Speed limits are “minimum” 40 up to 60 on average on the freeway around MSP so be mindful of that, esp in f your used to driving in Phoenix or So Cal.

We booked through Kayak and accidently booked the car in our home town in Minneapolis. I was unable to get a refund from Kayak so I tried to get a refund from SIXT. Even thought the mistake was discovered minutes after the reservation was made I had to pay for 3 days of the rental just to cancel. Probably wont use Kayak or SIXT again. Should have been an easy correction from Kayak or SIXT instead cost me $145.00 for nothing. Booked my rental car through Hertz

It was hard to find both pick up and drop off locations. The air conditioning did not work. The temperatures were in the 90s and my phone kept overheating so I lost my map. When I stopped for the day, I called Budget. They would bring me a new vehicle but I would have to pay to have the current one towed even though someone would be there with the new vehicle. I was in a dangerous position and they were not helpful.

The cars werent ready people were waiting for hours to get their cars. I gave up and went to Alamo which had cars now and even cheaper than my rev. With thrifty. I will never use thrift again.

The line at the airport rental desk was 20 people deep. we waited 15 minutes and no one in line moved. perhaps there was some trouble, but we did not see anyone leave the desk to get their rental car. there were 3 agents at the desk. we decided that it would be better to get a lLyft to take us from the airport to our destination, 40 miles away. The cost of the Lyft from and back to the airport was less than the cost of the rental car. There was no way to modify or change the rental, so I lost $145. Next time we will just use Lyft.

Ease of pick up and drop off. Please fill the tank with fuel. Not sure why I can't charge the rental company $10/ gallon when the tank isn't full but you an hit me if it's not full. It's not easy to return a vehicle the same when it's not full.

Extremely disappointing. Not very clear about picking up since there were three different areas at the airport to choose from. The agent at the first counter was rude and not helpful, and the other counter had a long line. It added a lot of additional time to go to a different area of the airport where the car actually was. The car pick up took about an additional hour. It was extremely frustrating to get ridiculous charges on the backend. The car was paid for, but additional fees were added on. Tax, auto facility charge, concession fee recovery etc. added it up to an additional $120! To me, this is padding. These charges should have been clear upfront. It was really infuriating. Definitely a deceptive practice to lure the consumer into thinking the fee they paid was the final price.

This was in the area where the vehicles were at the airport. The key fob needed a new battery. I was told to go get one and we will be reimbursed or I could pick a different vehicle. So I went to the counter to ask a question and because I wasn't a Gold Member, they turned around and walked away. So I got into the same vehicle and drove out. On our trip we had to find a store to replace the battery. Not a fan at all. Bringing the vehicle back, I couldn't get my money back, I had to get it back thru a voucher when we rent next time. Not a fan!!!!

The price is more competitive than others, but ...after we picked up the vehicle, we found The gas is only half filled, that is OK The tire warning sign was on, we checked with service desk, we were told that it was cold temperature and will be gone when warmed up, it it stayed on for all 10-day trip, luckily we checked the tire pressure and it was OK. After 1 day of driving, the engine coolant light was on, we had to stop at a gas station and found coolant level was below LOW limit. So we bought a jug of coolant and added to full line. The windshield wiper fluid was low and the wiper had grinding noise when used, we had to manually control to wipe only 1-2 times and turned it off. Luckily we finished our trip safely, last year they charged us $450 for lost item after return and we did not even know what was missing, no sure what to happen this time. Probably not to use Hertz next time.

I reserved a mid size pickup for almost $200 a day and was given a ‘managers choice’ vehicle. So for $200 a day I drove the smallest car they had- a Chevy Spark. It was a complete ripoff.

I paid for a large SUV ahead of time and when I arrived to pick up my car, I was told there were none in stock and I would have to pay to “upgrade” to a minivan. This doubled the price of my rental. It was infuriating to pay for a reservation only to be told it wasn’t available and I would have to pay more.

Location at terminal closed, no signs to tell you where to go. Ordered a full size SUV and was provided a small suv. When questioned about full-size I was told, because it had 7 seats, it was full sized. Will never be renting from dollar again.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I drove the car directly from the airport to the place I was staying, and when I arrived, I noticed that some bright pink liquid was leaking under the hood. I looked under the hood and saw that a tube was broken and fluid was everywhere. I immediately called Ace, where I was transferred 6 times and had to retell my story to each person (which was not too big of a deal). A woman named Katie finally got me, and immediately accused me of crashing the car and told me that it is my fault and either I needed to take it to a shop to get it fixed or I needed to pay $2k for them to come tow the car back to the rental agency. I told her that I did not crash the car, there was no other damage to the car, and the leak must have been cause before I got the car. She continued to tell me it is my fault and I must have done something to cause it. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, who ended up being even worse. She then transferred me over to John, who was even more rude. He spoke down to me the entire time we were on the phone, and continued to tell me it was my fault and that I had to fix it myself or pay to tow the car. I asked him about the bumper to bumper warranty, and he said this obviously would not be covered under warranty. He even ended up hanging up on me. I then drove the car (which was unsafe) to the nearest dealership and asked if they could fix it and explained the situation. Everyone at the dealership was disgusted and confused, and said that they've never heard of a rental company treating customers like that or making customers pay for/perform maintenance on a car. After they looked at the car, they told me it WAS covered under warranty, it was NOT safe for me to drive, and that they could not give me the car back. The serviceman also noted that there was no way the damage happened while it was in my care and was clearly not my fault. The car dealership service man called John directly and explained the situation, and only then did John agree to send me a new car at no cost to me. (Although John did call me back and tried to convince me to pay for and take a shuttle to the airport instead of getting the car.) The fact that I as the customer was immediately blamed for the damage without the company even looking at the car until a dealership serviceman backed me up is horrific. Terrible customer service. Nobody should be treated to or spoken to the way I was. I would never recommend renting with this company to anybody.

As soon as we landed, I received a text with instructions on what to do next. We jumped on the shuttle and got our car. We didn’t have any kind of what or any issues. When we returned the car, it was the same. No waiting and a quick shuttle ride back to the airport. It was 2 adults and 4 kids and 7 suitcases and 6 backpacks. We got a brand new Chrysler Pacifica van, that had 1000 miles on it. Very nice car that fit all of us and our luggage. It was great all around, renting from Ace.

Had to wait 20 minutes for a car to be ready. Had to wait 10 minutes to return the car. With only one or two people working, they are never actually available to help the customer.

It was a brand new car and it was just what I asked for. Due to a long distance drive I requested an all wheel or 4 wheel drive SUV and i was able to secure it with no hassle. It was a well equipped car and a super quick and easy check out at the desk. Well done Enterprise.

Pro: The rental staff was very friendly and efficient. I was thankful they staff member was there an hour after the office closed as I didn't see anywhere on my reservation that the office closed at 5:00 PM on weekdays and I arrived about 5:30-5:45. I also discovered that if I missed picking it up that day, I would loose the rental sale price. Did I say the checkout staff was very kind and efficient? Con: see above. Please include information on the reservation details (hours) and what happens if your flight is delayed or rescheduled. Please include a copy of any prior noted damage when the car is picked up. I took pictures but was not sure the company was aware of prior damage until I returned the car. Since the office was closed right after I received the keys, I could only take pictures and hope for the best. I called about how to get to the offsite AVIS office and was told I could take a lightrail and walk two blocks. I got a ride and saw it was way more than two blocks and through an area that I was told was not safe. After returning the car to the offsite office, we took an Uber back to the airport (15 minutes).

They were able/willing to adjust our vehicle when the one we had reserved was not meeting our needs.

Cons:

Personnel were very value added.

Upgrade in car. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Car was not fully clean. Maybe because it was an upgrade and had just been turned in? Guy cleaning cars was working real hard in heat.

Pros:

What you pay for is what you get. I was worried that at the end of my trip they were going to charge extra on miles or come up with something but not at all. Picked up the car with no problems and dropped off took 5 minutes. Will definitely use again!
