The flight was a transit and I had my boarding pass from the departure. I have talked to the check in person to set me up close to my family seats and ended up with my wife in one seat, 3 years old son in different seat and myself on different seat. very disappointing and overwhelming.

Pros: "I' not sure which flight this relates to. I've taken economy and business class and clearly the business class is better but economy is fine. The crew were good in both classes and whilst the food in business was better I didn't have a problem in economy either."

At Heathrow it was a bit chaotic as all classes seemed to be mixed up so it was difficult for priority passengers such as disabled to get through everyone crowded up to the desks and the same applied for business class as well. The IFE wasn't too bad but it could be better. Bahrain airport is a mess and the boarding gates seem to be more like corridors with seats in them so it's difficult again when they call for business class passengers as unless you are already at the front you have to try to work your way through. I believe the airport is being rebuilt. If so then things will probably improve. I'm not sure why there needs to be 2 security checks within a few yards of each other when transiting between flights. they don't have this problem in Doha."

Cons: "Gulf air has decided to do "silent boarding" - so we were late boarding our flight because even though we watched the gate- it never filled up, there were never lines, no announcements, no lights signaling anything. Our captain took VERY sharp and hard dips and turns during our flight. He even dropped altitude so quickly that some women on board yelled out in terror. No announcements were made as well by the crew or captain regarding these very uncommon experiences of turbulence or announcements to remain with ones seat belt fastened. Finally, the man driving the bus from the plane to the door at Manama airport was too busy talking to the men who decided to sit in the front seat of the passenger bus and not look on the road in a busy air traffic area. I'm literally blown away at how everyone was safe and made it from point a to point b. I'm also horrified at the lack of communication or safety precautions."

We got stuck with $350 in baggage fees, because a clause stating that we were not allowed a check-in bag was buried in the fine print for our ticket purchase. The website was not working prior to our return flight, and if it had worked, we would have been able to get at least a discount on this outrageous fee. But , despite this, (we took a screenshot) the counter staff in Abu Dhabi would not give us the discount. A baggage fee for $350 dollars for one bag? There is word for this. Thievery."

That certainly says something about Etihad's customer service. I doubt United would have done the same. A crew member told me that the double back meant an extra fuel cost of $50,000. The moral is: make sure you've got your medications in order—or whatever your health requires—before you board an airplane."

I asked to reschedule the booking instead and they told me that rescheduling will cost me more than the price of the original ticket! Now I lost the money I paid! I will stop booking my flights through kayak going forward. I am not happy with the service and the policies do not make any sense. This was a waste. I am very disappointed. I had a serious personal reason to not to fly and nothing was taken in to consideration. I will pass this to all people I know."

Cons: "Transiting at Jeddah (South terminal) on economy class is an AWFUL experience, I wouldn't wish it on anybody. It's just a small block with 6 or 8 gates inside it which is much too small for the amount of people who wait for those flights. It's really difficult to find anywhere to sit and there's no paid lounge in the South terminal. Facilities are very poor with no WiFi and filthy bathrooms. What's more, all parking positions at Jeddah are currently remote gates, so everybody is bussed to the planes. Hopefully this will all change, at least to some degree, when the rebuilt airport opens."
Pros: "Always KUDOS as SAUDIA attendant crew is always smiles and quick excellent service. Pilots always greet on and off the flight, I am sold on Saudia. Take it from me, 3200 flights since 1969 and I still coach-it for the comradery and extra efforts that other airlines forgot a decade ago."

Also the pilot have no experience in flying with the plane as the plane vibrates strongly even while mid-air and at constant speed and altitude. The entertainment screen was always lagging and ads are everywhere."

Pros: "I went for my honeymoon but ET never transported my luggage. I had to spend my honeymoon buying very expensive clothes and basic needs in Mauritius instead of relaxing. My luggage never came. I got it on my way back to Bamako. Nobody was even able to even trace my luggage or respond professionally on the phone. Out of hundreds of calls I made to them, they only picked up twice. ET screwed my honeymoon that I had planned for over a year. I'm so dissapointed that I don'y even want to claim reimbursement."

Cons: "Besides that the flight was 4 hours delayed and the staff gave different information then the screen, customer service was non existant. There seems to be no structure or system. Gate change was not announced. Staff was not clear or direct about status of the flight. I have had several flights with EA and most have been completely disappointing and frustrating. Forget trying to call anyone, it took me 4 days of non stop calls to connect with someone to change my flight date. Then once connected the credit card system was apparently down and they could not charge my fee. I had to contact the US office while I was in Africa in order to get anything done, ridiculous. They over charged me and would not honor the fees that were quoted on the phone and via email but the head office. Dishonest and no concern for the inconvenience to their customers. The ethiopian air office in gaborne was helpful straighteningbout the situation. I would fly ethiopian air again."

My friend and I were the only two Western people on the plane and forced to sit in the last row of the plane next to the toilets. Cons: "My flight was only for refugees and was delayed by 8 hours, however airport staff did not have it on their manifest, and Ethiopian never informed me of status. I just sat in the airport all night until I eventually got frustrated and went home. The airline had no idea I was in the airport and no Ethiopian staff were present to speak with. When I and my family called Ethiopian, they hung up on us, at least 6 times. This was my worst experience ever and I will never fly Ethiopian airlines again."

I wanted to perches a watch that no all the flights had and when they did I couldn't ad ou don't take Credit Card. Flying from Israel to South Africa all I had was Shekel and Rands. How was I to know that I needed to carry Dollars On me."

The staff there was so loud talking to each other I had to asked them to be quiet for the guests these, especially when one is stranded at midnight in a crowded space. The crew, food and seat was good on the flight considering the competive price of the ticket."
Cons: "The flight took off over 3 1/2 hours late. With a 1 1/2 hour connection, I was told when I checked in that the other planes would definitely be waiting for us. Of course that was not true. When I landed at Kuwait, the transit desk casually offered me a seat on a flight 24 hours later, expecting me to stay overnight. No alternate flight arrangements were made as the staff was switching duty. As I was traveling business class and for the funeral of immediate family, I refused to move from the counter. A well meaning but not too effective lady finally booked me through Bahrain on Gulf Air to land at my four hour away destination, 19 hours late, instead of 28 hours. If thenJFK staff had called ahead, I could have easily connected right away without the hassle of pleading and waiting."

On the way back, not sure why the flight back to the US was routed through Shannon, Ireland. I would like someone to answer this for me. This made the journey a very long one. Plus in Shannon we had to disembark and do a security check again to board on the same flight back. This was stressful especially after the long flight into Shannon. On more than one occasion, the crew did not respond to requests for blankets."
