I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Turkish Airlines, one I felt compelled to share. Firstly, the staff’s attitude left much to be desired. I encountered consistent rudeness both onboard and from the customer service team. To illustrate, I lost my eyeglasses on the plane. When I approached the airline’s customer service for help, not only were they dismissive, but they also mishandled the information I provided. Even though I had clearly mentioned my flight details in my correspondence, they asked for them again, only to later inform me they couldn’t locate my glasses. Moreover, the flight itself was delayed by three hours, adding to the frustration. Given this experience, I strongly advise reconsidering before booking with Turkish Airlines

Chaotic boarding began 5 minutes before departure without any announcements explaining the delay. Once on board, an outdated 737 greeted me, without of WiFi. The crew hastily placed trays in front of passengers without any interaction or smiles, only to swiftly retrieve them and vanish for the remainder of the flight. The food provided was inedible, but there were decent juice options like guava and strawberry. The only reason I chose this flight was because of its schedule; otherwise, I would have opted for a different airline.
The bathroms were disgusting by the end of the fight.

It feels like the seat did not have any cushion just plywood. The seats are so compact that I could not even move at all and I am slim. Just imagine someone else. Singapore Air and Emirates are far far better than this. Do not even travel for free. For a 12 hour flight sitting on a plywood is horrible experience and on top of that the person at checking counter at NY was worst and rude. Plus they charge arms and leg for everything. I think they would also start charging for belts and oxygen also soon. First and last time flying with Ethiad.
The seat was not functional. Very uncomfortable to sit upright for that many hours😢. There was no legroom. Can’t move the legs or the body. We should have the option to pick our seats. There was no need to call customer support team and have them pick and we pay for the premium seats. When I called the CST regarding the seats, their response is gaslighting. Total disappointment. We have paid to be tortured by Etihad Airlines.
