Cons:I was given a car at night which had major body damage and I had to be the one to note this on their "walk around the car" form. I was exhausted from a late night flight and had I not looked at the car and noted this, they may very well have tried to pin a multiple thousand dollar damage claim on me. I called customer service the next day to report this and I was told someone would call back, but no one ever did. I called the following day and was placed on terminal hold. When I returned the car, the person noting the miles had a very poor attitude when I conveyed the saga....he could care less. a TERRIBLE experience and I will never use Advantage again.

Cons:I will NEVER use Advantage again and would advise everyone else to stay away. I have travelled a lot. I have relatively low expectations from a rental car experience, but this one was by far the worst. We waited for 30 minutes for the shuttle to come after we arrived the the airport (it's apparently supposed to come every ten minutes). When we finally got to Advantage, the people behind the counter were very rude and unhelpful. They initially tried to tell me that I didn't have a reservation with them and to try Dollar next door. When I presented my confirmation email, they begrudgingly started checking me in. After trying to give me a car with expired tags, they told me they didn't have the car (SVU) I reserved and all that was available was a subcompact (I was in town for my sister's wedding and needed a lot of space in the car). I was told I could put my name on a waiting list or try and come back several hours later to see if the car was available then. Rather than apologize or offer me any sort of upgrade or rebate for a reservation that they messed up, they acted like I was unconvincing them simply for asking for what I had reserved. I eventually took the "only car that was available," which was a terrible disappointment. The exterior of the car was completely dented and scratched and the hub caps were almost falling off. The interior looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. I would have been much better off canceling my reservations and going with the many other options that are available.

Pros:The car was brand new and in great condition. It had plenty of space for all of our passengers and luggage.
Cons:The rental company had just moved to the location a few days prior and due to that, the wait was very long, and there was some confusion when we went downstairs to pick up the vehicle.
4.0 Mediocre
Pros:Management noticed the long line at airport and made a proactive effort to accommodate everyone quickly. Manager at airport had a high level of self-awareness and was actually very impressive. Everything else was sub-standard.
Cons:It was not mentioned on the 3rd party website that this rental would require a shuttle (which is why I selected Advantage initially- for convenience). 7minute shuttle ride if you catch it at the right time, so be prepared. Arrived to a parking lot w/ a trailer run by a generator. the Shuttle drive doubles as the guy checking you/your car out, so expect more delays- he's only one person. He also didn't know where in the lot my car was, which was concerning. My vehicle was covered in bird poop, which normally I wouldn't really care about so much, but I was going to a funeral, so it was very embarrassing being in the funeral line w/ a car covered in bird droppings. Interior wasn't so clean as well (candy wrappers, dust etc) Also- i'm sure this is some type of Texas thing, but if you plan on driving a distance, you need to get a highway toll pass- so expect to tack on another 6.95 for a toll pass, otherwise you'll get his w/ a $25 +toll cost after you rent your vehicle.

Cons:Better clean up! Car was not clean and smelt like smoke! Had to buy air freshener because it was a very strong odor!

Pros:They exchanged cars for me with no problem when the first car I was issued was dirty. All attendants were super nice and helpful. They cars they have are very nice and a fantastic bang for your buck (on the deal I got anyway).
Cons:The first car assigned to me was dirty. Knobs had greasy fingers, there was still ketchup smeared on a part of the dash near some crucial buttons. Seats were dirty. I was not thrilled to get the car. But they did exchange cars for me with no problem. The shuttle did take forever to arrive at the airport. I would say about 5-6 rounds of their competitors buses rotated through packed full by the time thebAdvatage bus showed up. It was just me and one other person waiting the whole time. I almost left to go get another reservation because they took so long. The bus sounded like it was going to fall apart at times.

Cons:The car was pretty stained and old. It had been vacuumed but it was pretty run down. The person who checked me in sold me a sun pass because he lead me to believe that I would need it for Miaimi-Dade county but I went as far as Miami Shores and never needed it so I feel he gave me misinformation in order to sell me the service, which I had purchased based on his advice. The lady at the car rental return for Advantage was rude and abrasive not only to me but other customers as well.

Pros:Price was good. EZ Pass expensive though.

Cons:I was overcharged $100. I had to file a disputed claim. They said I did not returned the car 2 days late. I am having to prove I was on a flight leaving Ft. Myers. They did not give me a receipt or email. When I returned car. Also the lot is very dark & poorly lighted. My friend & were scared searching for our car in the dark by ourselves.

Pros:Not such a long line as budget
Cons:Huge hustle on the added insurance and tolls. Then the car was super dirty. Could hardly see out the windshield and there was no wiper fluid. Plus the gas, which was marked as full, was about 3/4 full. The inside of the car smelled like smoke and was really dirty -- a lighter and a lot of cookies on the floor, mud on the inside door panels, etc. I asked for washer fluid and a full tank of gas. They did fill the tank and rinsed off the car -- which helped -- but still no washer fluid and the car smelled like smoke. The cabin filter was black on both sides and had never been changed, which accounted for some of the cigarette smell. Car ran okay but was very glad to return it. No one was around when we returned in Boston. Was told to leave and they would email the receipt.
