Cons:Why do we reserve? To make sure we can have a car! They were sold out. It messed up our vacation.

Cons:I book the car online for $100 something for a week and additional I purchased the full coverage insurance for another $120. When I get to National car rental in Cancun the lady at the front desk tried to rip me off for $530 and she told me that I have to make another reservation which is walk in. I told her that I already paid through the online but she refused and told me to take the car that she was offering. So as we talk she went down from $530 to $256 without any insurance. So it was some fishy and I canceled and did not take any car from her. My advise once you book online print it and show it to her

Pros:People seemed nice.
Cons:It was clean and the people were Nice, but they upselled me on what they said was a larger vehicle. I told them i needed a lot of space. However upon getting my kids into the SUV it was very clear his was even LESS space than the mini van we originally booked. This put a huge stress on my family. To top It off, they told us the new SUV had an AC outlet. But it didn’t work. This angered me the most as we needed it for our baby bottle warmer. Honestly I’d like to be reimbursed for the extra money we spent.

Pros:Both rentals I had included an extension cord and brush...
Cons:The first "SUV" I got was a pretty beat '09 Explorer with 100,000km and very bald all season tires... In Yellowknife. In March. Oh and it almost left me stranded after the first night when it wouldn't start in whopping -20C. I got somebody to give me a jump and barely got it cranked over thankfully. I can understand maybe -30C+ or colder, but seriously at only -20C, cars put in to service in Yellowknife should be able to do this without too much drama. Then later that first day I got stuck in a driveway with maybe 2" of snow at the most on an otherwise plowed drive. it was pathetic performance for an "SUV" which I picked and paid extra for hoping to have something reasonably capable for the local conditions. With the bald tires I had to spend 20 minutes rocking it back and forth with pushing from a helper and digging the front tires out (of literally only 2" of snow on ice) to get it out on to the road. If any of my personal vehicles were in that state of neglect I'd probably burn them to the ground. I took the SUV back immediately and accepted a replacement compact (Chevy Cruz) since that was all they had in the lot. No price refund difference or anything, but I was happy to just get anything other than that car, and it did happen to have real snow tires on the front which were in good shape. I actually enjoyed the Cruz even though it was tiny since with decent tires it did pretty good on the ice and snow, it wasn't like I was trying to go off-road or anything, just needed to get around town. And more importantly it started when I needed it to without much issue. Tight fit for two with luggage in the back taking up the rear seat, but it worked.

Cons:It's my own fault for not investigating closer, but I was under the impression that my San Francisco rental would be picked up at the airport. When I arrived at said airport with my husband, two kids, 4 suitcases, 4 backpacks, and 2 car seats, I was informed by a rude National employee that my rental was to be picked up at the train station, which was at least 30 minutes away, and she could do nothing to help me. I ended up renting a car from Alamo by calling and reserving a car on the spot. I am unlikely to use Kayak again.

Pros:Good Customer service at the National deck in Hamburg - very helpful. I had booked a BMW 3 Series which was not available at pickup and received a Mercedes C Class instead which was just as good.
Cons:Had to sign the rental agreement that was all in German. It might be nice to have the option of an English version for non-German speaking customers.

Pros:Car was clean and staff very helpful
Cons:Price higher than we had expected and almost no choice of vehicles. Presume due to demand from visitors to Balloon Festival.

Pros:Booked a Ford Escape for a week. Vehicle provided is exactly as requested and in good shape. Pick up and drop-off straight forward.
Cons:Alamo would allow wife to drive with no additional charge, but National would add C$10 per day.

Cons:Booked the CarTrawler. Couldn't change details at car pick up so was charged the full cost of the car without getting near the vehicle. Unbelievably bad service between the booking company and National. Customer assistant immensely unhelpful at San Francisco. Terrible experience with both the booking company and hire company.
