This was a scam. Do not use!
My car reservation was canceled because I was an hour late from the time they determined for me to pick it up. IMO this is a bad policy which will cost them revenue in the long run. They were very unhelpful in helping me reserve another car. The best they could do was send me back to the airport to another rental company. Again, another bad policy that will most likely hurt their business.
The car was dirty when we picked it up. It only had a single floor mat il and it was in the back. It was missing a hubcap and had body damage to the right rear. The final price was much higher than was quoted. The listing said that the car was "in terminal" but it was not it required a shuttle ride. Overall experience was poor. I would rather have a bus pass than rent from these people again.
Rented a 12 passenger van for a college trip with students to study marine biology in southern Florida for 3 weeks. Reservation and rental agreement indicated $889 as total price, $500 (approx) downpayment was made at reservation. Upon arrival, they charged me $1,500 and said there is some required insurance although my University pays for full insurance on all fleet rentals. I do not see this in the details on expedia. The van was in poor condition - dent in the back with cracked bumper from a prior accident. One seat was literally zip-tied on. Two seats did not have seat belts so effectively serves as a 10 passenger vehicle. The zip-tied seat and missing seat belts would be against the law so I have reported this to Florida's Attorney General office for investigation.
The lady doing the check in and out was very polite and courteous and tried to help us. For some reason when I went to pick the car she told me her colleague had said that I had cancelled tje reservation which I hadn't and not received any email confirmation of this. Luckily she made a new one and the car was still available. Also on kayak it said booking for 5 people car but the priceless booking said 2 person so i had to clarify that. Car was good and the lady was helpful.
Very slow service and bad signage or lack of around the area
We specifically chose a car that said it would be at the airport terminal. We ended up having to take a shuttle far away from the airport to get the car. Also, our car was supposed to cost six dollars a day. This was very misleading as the car ended up costing about $80 a day because of insurance. I was not prepared for that or we would have made other arrangements.
They didn't answer their phone as we were instructed to request a shuttle to come and pick us up. We were forced to rent from another company.
Hidden insurance fees they make you pay at the counter. Not friendly.
The agent was not at the airport on the day of pickup. He told me the reason was that he had called me a day before and I had not answered, which is not true as I have the call logs and haven't received any call/sms/email. Then proceeded to tell me that most of people don't read T&C and that I had to pay 500 EUR insurance for 4 days if I wanted the car, on top of other fees. I am pretty sure something like this would stand out in the invoice, not hidden and nothing to do with T&C because this company would then have much bigger problems than scam sales. I raised a dispute for service not provided, scam offer change. Never again.
